Description

Every Day Needs a Night is a 10-minute film that raises awareness about the impacts of light pollution and the importance of dark sky advocacy. Through thoughtful storytelling, the film highlights how excessive artificial light affects ecosystems, human health, and our ability to connect with the natural night sky.

Created by students, the film encourages a deeper appreciation for darkness as an essential part of our environment and calls attention to the need for more sustainable lighting practices.

Submitted by Brennan Campbell, this film was produced, filmed, and edited by students at Arizona State University as part of Peter Byck’s sustainability storytelling capstone course, reflecting a collaborative effort to address environmental issues through media.
