Film Description
Silent Retreat explores the rapid disappearance of Switzerland’s glaciers and what their loss reveals about our warming planet. Through striking alpine imagery and scientific insight, the film traces how glaciers—once stable reservoirs of water and life—are now retreating at unprecedented rates.
More than a visual journey, Silent Retreat positions glaciers as powerful indicators of environmental change. As their quiet disappearance accelerates, the film raises an urgent question: will we act in time to preserve what remains, or allow the silence to deepen?
