Through interviews with crane experts and striking natural imagery, the film highlights the biology, migration, and cultural significance of these iconic birds.

The documentary offers viewers a deeper appreciation for the cranes’ role in North American ecosystems and the efforts to study and protect them.

Director:

Joseph Brown is a filmmaker and educator whose work focuses on documentary storytelling and environmental themes. His films have screened at numerous festivals including the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, the Birmingham Sidewalk Film Festival, the Dallas International Film Festival, the Milwaukee Film Festival, and the Wild & Scenic Environmental Film Festival. Brown currently teaches film production at the University of Denver in Colorado.
