Phoenix Community Heroes: Giving Trees a Voice tells the story of a city-led initiative to combat extreme heat by expanding tree canopy in underserved neighborhoods. Funded by COVID relief efforts, the program empowers residents to plant and care for trees in one of the hottest major cities in the United States.
