Film Description

Prairie Prophecy: The Wes Jackson Documentary tells the story of visionary scientist, farmer, and environmental thinker Wes Jackson, co-founder of The Land Institute. Through decades of groundbreaking work, Jackson has championed a revolutionary approach to agriculture known as natural systems agriculture, which reimagines farming in harmony with nature. From his rural Kansas roots to his global influence on sustainable agriculture, the film explores Jackson’s ideas, humor, and lifelong dedication to protecting the Earth’s fragile ecosystems. Featuring rare archival footage and insights from collaborators, Prairie Prophecy offers both a tribute to Jackson’s legacy and a call to action for future generations to transform the way we grow food.
